Description

Our client’s current web presence is split between two sites a gov.uk site and a Wordpress website and they are looking to consolidate both sites into one. The gov.uk site is their official web presence, but has limited functionality and does not communicate their message and a Wordpress website which is more visually appealing site but fails to meet WCAG 2.1/2.2 AA accessibility standards. There are also ongoing issues with content management that they would like to resolves so day to day content can be managed by the in-house team. A design agency has already carried out the discover stage and produced the Information Architecture (IA), wireframes, user journeys, style code etc. defining the new site, which they will hand over late March. There will be a handover period at the beginning of the project to review the design agencies artefacts.
Requirements

  1. CMS – Wordpress, Joomla, Magento.
  2. HTML, CSS, JS and PHP.
  3. SEO Strategy and Migration.
  4. Sub domains - targeting different audiences.
  5. Tractivity Integration.
  6. Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager.
  7. Cookie compliance and notification.
  8. QA and User Testing.
  9. Working with hosting providers and providing support and maintenance.
  10. Accessibility standards – WCAG 2.2 AA at minimum AAA preferred, working with external auditors and implementing fixes identified.
  11. Security – pen testing and addressing security issues
  12. Working with a design agency providing discovery, information architecture and design (wireframes, style codes)
Experience

  1. Previous development experience with CMS and development languages.
  2. Understand of WCAG accessibility standards, how to implement them and working with 3rd part auditors.
  3. Working with design agencies artefacts - wireframes, user journeys etc.
  4. Website Security Audits.
  5. Optimising website for Search Engine listings
  6. Integrating delivery with Tractivity to report progress to stakeholders.
  7. Implementing Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager to increase visibility on search engines.
  8. Ability to work to tight deadlines.
  9. Require a flexible, can do approach to delivery and commitment to completing development to the agreed requirements/specification, which may change, slightly, as the project evolves.
